About the Role

Our mission at ComPsych is to support the well-being of 160 million lives. Designing the human-centered experiences that support them through life's everyday challenges, and through some of life’s toughest moments that no one should have to work through alone.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will lead design initiatives within our behavioral health and absence management experiences. Together with product managers and engineers, you will create compelling experiences with a high bar for craft and shaped by strong research and a sharp read on UX metrics. To drive the product's direction, you will author and champion transformative experience visions that can reimagine how modern care delivery could work – both front and backstage.

We are building a new product design group that reports through the Chief Strategy Officer, that is both AI-native and deeply human-centered from the start. The right candidate will be excited to have a hand in shaping our design and user research processes alongside their product work. As designer practitioners, we see AI tools as an opportunity to extend our craft, not to replace it.

What You'll Do

  • Own initiatives from discovery through execution. Framing problems, running research, prototyping, and shipping alongside product and engineering.
  • Raise the design maturity of the teams around you. Champion user research and data-driven decision making. You know that success is not having the best idea; it's making sure the best idea gets built.
  • Reduce the time from insight to user outcome. Utilize AI for tasks like research synthesis, prototyping, exploration, documentation, execution, and minimizing hand offs.
  • Partner directly with product, engineering, and subject-matter stakeholders to turn ambiguous, high-stakes problems into testable user outcomes.
  • Collaborate with your design peers. Participate in collective brainstorming, design crits, and storytelling. Evolve our long-term product vision. Iterate on design systems, visual language, and design principles. This is a team that values your voice in the process.
  • Create journey maps and service blueprints to understand the full end-to-end user experience – front and backstage.
  • Use storytelling to pull the team towards compelling experience visions that drive innovation while connecting user outcomes with business objectives.

What We're Looking For

Design experience can take many forms. If you're strong in the core areas below and excited to collaborate, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet every qualification.

  • Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to own experience design end-to-end, from problem framing through delivery and iterative data-led refinements.
  • Strong core UX design skills and craft in execution.
  • Experience designing elegant solutions within complex product domains.
  • A track record of raising the design maturity of teams around you — through mentorship, critique, systems thinking, or influence that extended beyond your own assigned work.
  • Real fluency with AI as a working tool: Prototyping, synthesizing research, faster iterations, designing in code, and staying up to date on the latest tools.
  • Familiar with the capabilities, constraints, and human factors of LLMs, and able to leverage that knowledge into responsibly designed experiences.
  • Inspired toward mission-driven, human-centered work. Passionate about creating products in support of people’s functional and emotional needs.
  • Ability to articulate your process and provide strong rationale for design decisions. Persuasive with peers and executives, and humble enough to change your mind when the evidence says to.
  • Experience working in Agile product delivery teams.
  • Experience in behavioral health, absence management, or another regulated, data-sensitive industry.
  • Accessibility expertise and working knowledge of WCAG 2.2.
  • Strong mobile design skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Full benefits package, including Paid Time Off (PTO), medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, robust EAP, wellness program, and much more
  • The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000 USD ). The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, and scheduled hours.
