Job Summary

The Project Manager - Absence Operations leads projects from planning through completion, ensuring alignment with company strategy, budgetary guidelines, and operational goals. This role independently manages project timelines and resources while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and standard operating practices. The Project Manager - Absence Operations proactively identifies and mitigates risks and collaborates with key stakeholders to drive successful outcomes for the Absence department and ComPsych as a whole.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Independently plans, leads, and oversees all phases of absence-related projects, exercising discretion and professional judgement in project design, execution, and completion.
  • Applies a thorough understanding of company strategy to manage projects in alignment with organizational goals, growth objectives, and budgetary constraints.
  • Interprets, implements, and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and SOPs, using independent judgement to support financial and operational initiatives.
  • Establishes and defines project goals and deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring and summarizing progress of project.
  • Proactively identifies project risks and operational issues, develops solutions, and implements corrective actions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Manages budget, timeline and resources necessary for successful project completion.
  • Provides direction, guidance, and support to project team members.
  • Determines and works with stakeholders to ensure long-term success.
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or other relevant field required
  • PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP certification preferred
  • Analytical data experience preferred
  • Ability to plan, prepare and reach financial budgets and goals
  • Ability to work with diverse employee groups and departments 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Positive and professional, with demonstrated multi-tasking and critical thinking skills
  • Stable work history required
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
  • Presentation skills
  • Project Management Certification (preferred)

Other Requirements:

  • Consistent and reliable high-speed internet and workspace free from distraction, disruption, or noise is required
  • Ability to be present on camera during work-related trainings, meetings, and/or events
  • Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for prolonged periods while working on a computer
