Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network and Telecom Manager to lead our global network infrastructure and telecommunications operations. This strategic role requires a technical leader who can manage complex network environments, oversee multiple data centers, and ensure seamless communication systems across our organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise networking, unified communications platforms, and vendor relationship management. You will plan and drive network and telecom efficiency initiatives to achieve optimal levels of operations and KPI targets.  You will maintain existing systems, provide technical guidance, and manage staff for optimum performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure across two data centers.
  • Manage Azure networking environments including virtual networks, ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, and network security groups.
  • Implement and maintain global load balancing services to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Ensuring network infrastructure meets security, compliance, and business continuity requirements.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity plans for network and telecom systems.
  • Manage and optimize Genesys Cloud CX platform for contact center operations.
  • Oversee Microsoft Teams and Zoom video conferencing and telephony infrastructure.
  • Lead global telecom support operations, ensuring 24/7 availability and service quality.
  • Manage voice and video communications systems, including SIP trunking, call routing, and quality monitoring.
  • Optimize telecom costs while maintaining service quality standards.
  • Guide design and manage implementation of Cisco-based network solutions including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity, and security across all locations.
  • Lead troubleshooting complex network issues and incident response efforts.
  • Implement network automation and optimization strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation and topology diagrams.
  • Partner with Infrastructure Security team to implement network security policies and controls.
  • Collaborate with Application Development teams to ensure network infrastructure supports business applications.
  • Manage relationships with telecommunications carriers, ISPs, and technology vendors globally.
  • Participate in negotiating contracts and service level agreements to optimize cost and performance.
  • Oversee vendor performance and ensure adherence to SLAs.
  • Evaluate innovative technologies and vendors to support business needs.
  • Coordinate vendor and staff access and activities within data centers.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing network and telecom support team.
  • Establish team goals, performance metrics, and professional development plans.
  • Assist with management of Network and Telecom budget.
  • Manage on-call rotation and paging service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, management information systems, information technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of work experience in information technology network and telecommunication environments, including planning, implementation, and maintenance of network and telecommunication systems.
  • 7+ years of work experience leading and managing technical teams.
  • Industry certifications are a strong plus (Cisco CCNP, CCIE Microsoft Azure Administrator, Network Engineer Associate, Genesys Cloud CX Professional Certification, ITIL Foundation v4, Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Proficiency with M365, MS Visio, and MS Project.
  • Experience planning and executing large-scale production network and telecommunication projects with minimal downtime and limited impact on the systems.
  • Proficiency with Cisco, Genesys Cloud CX, Zoom, MS Teams, and faxing solutions.
  • Proficiency with Azure networking.
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Experience with SD-WAN and Express Route technologies and implementation.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or similar).
  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible, PowerShell).
  • Understanding of network security principles including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust architecture.
  • Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar).
  • Proficiency with Public Cloud infrastructure connectivity.
  • Consistent track record of handling escalations on large-scale and mission-critical on-premises and cloud networks and telecommunication systems.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks while demonstrating poise in a high-pressure environment.
  • Project management and sr. level technical team management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with focus on root cause analysis.
  • Proven vendor negotiation skills and contract management experience.
  • Budget management and cost optimization experience.
  • Change management expertise in enterprise environments.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
