The Mobile Application Developer develops customer-facing mobile applications and responsive web sites.

• Develops mobile applications, responsive web pages, and associated services according to business needs and project schedules
• Develops mobile applications for iOS and Android using NativeScript, Swift, Kotlin, and Java
• Effectively applies HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript to implement responsive designs
• Makes enhancements to improve website accessibility
• Assists in the design, development, and maintenance of other websites, as needed

• Proposes solutions, rather than discusses problems
• Thinks through problems and determines alternative solutions; ensures problems do not reoccur

• Follows a disciplined approach, rather than a “code and fix” approach, to software development
• Delivers assigned tasks according to the agreed upon schedule
• Develops source code according to project team coding guidelines
• Follows project team practices for source code configuration management
• Verifies source code by performing unit, feature, and/or performance testing

• Contributes as part of a high performing, technical team
• Clearly communicates task status and informs management of deviations
• Actively helps and collaborates with peers. Makes efforts to proactively resolve conflicts
• Works well with other technologists and content authors
• Takes initiative to self-manage; does not always rely on management direction/supervision

• Other duties as assigned.

• 0-2 years of software development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Java
• Industry experience in usability, user interface design, web accessibility, and/or web design
• Industry experience developing mobile applications for iOS and Android
• (Preferred) Knowledge and experience developing web services to expose data to mobile applications
• (Preferred) Knowledge and experience with web content management systems

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
