Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer with extensive experience in Windows products and Azure to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing, supporting, and enhancing our IT infrastructure, with a heavy emphasis on troubleshooting Windows systems, Active Directory, M365 products, and Azure. This role demands a deep understanding of Windows environments, commonly used corporate applications, and a solid background in VMware. Familiarity with Linux systems is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage Windows-based infrastructure solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in Windows systems, Active Directory, M365 products, and Azure to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Maintain and optimize Azure cloud services, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Provide support for commonly used corporate applications, ensuring smooth operations and quick resolution of issues.
  • Manage and deploy patches to Windows OS systems using SCCM.
  • Manage SAN storage devices.
  • Assist with support of VMware environments, including virtual machine creation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT infrastructure aligns with other IT and business units.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Manage backups and business continuity solutions.
  • Implement and cable new hardware, i.e., servers, storage, etc.
  • Document systems configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference and training.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Other tasks as required.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills of Windows and related back-offices technologies.
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server (2016, 2019, or later), Active Directory, and M365 products.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including but not limited to Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure Storage.
  • Proficient in VMware environments.
  • Proficient in networking and troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
  • Experience in automating tasks using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage his tasks with emphasis on efficiency and timely delivery of tasks.
  • Must occasionally travel to data centers to install, wire and configure systems.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Windows environments.
  • Experience with Azure and M365 administration and support.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional, or similar.
