Job Summary

The Project Manager, Sales Operations is responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of key sales project functions and improvement initiatives to ensure efficient sales performance and smooth department operations. This individual will be responsible for providing project management support for a variety of areas including enhancements to the product offering, alignment with key customers and partners, and internal engagement and efficiency initiatives.  This individual will directly support the sales leadership team in the management of key sales activities and projects to ensure completion in a timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Scope, prioritize and execute sales operations improvement projects and processes, as identified by sales leadership, with a particular focus on sales growth, prospect impact and internal efficiency
  • Develop and communicate clear, concise, up-to-date project plans and make available to all stakeholders
  • Set deadlines, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed
  • Bring all impactful decision to key project stakeholders for input
  • Set appropriate expectations for project delivery and drive to 100% of deliverable dates met
  • Resolve issues when possible and escalate all foreseeable issues impacting either live date or promised functionality to stakeholders, as appropriate
  • Obtain final sign-off from stakeholders prior to development or implementation of new functions and processes
  • Implement and execute on improvement projects within specific timelines
  • Set reasonable expectations and support appropriate timing for projects when dependencies are outside of immediate locus of control (i.e. Operations, IT)
  • Develop a strong understanding of the well-being and absence product offerings from our sales perspective and act as a cross-departmental subject matter expert
  • Optimize wholesale partnership support and organization including, as well as best practice and workflow management
  • Directly support senior leadership team meetings
  • Be the connecting point between Creative, Marketing, and Proposal to better support overall sales goals and initiatives
  • Build and maintain cross-departmental relationships in order to effectively drive key projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Proven Project Management experience
  • Superior communication and critical thinking skills
  • Strong experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong attention to details and customer service orientation
  • High level of organizational aptitude and attention to detail
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite required; expert knowledge and experience with a Project Management Tool
