Job Summary

The Onsite Counselor is responsible for providing behavioral health support for ComPsych’s EAP program with employees of our Client, located in Duncan, Oklahoma. This is accomplished through a combination of supervisor consultations, training and promotional activities. 

 

The ideal candidate is a licensed clinician with good clinical skills as well as be empathetic, organized, a strong communicator, and able to work independently. Background in social work and/or counseling is essential to this position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment, immediate support and referral for individuals in crisis
  • Provides management consultations, giving guidance and insight on resolving behavioral health issues in the workplace. .
  • Provides assessment, referrals and clinical support for behavioral health and substance use issues
  • Promoting the program and assist employees to connect with resources
  • Collaborate with all internal stakeholders ( Occupational Health, Human Resources, Labor Relations.)
  • Coordinates with site contacts to participate in health fairs, enrollment and wellness promoting activities
  • Provides training and Lunch-and-Learns on behavioral health issues
  • Participates in behavioral health awareness campaigns
  • Provides strategy support on program service delivery satisfaction and issue resolution
  • Provides on-site critical incident debriefings.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Master level licensed clinician; social work, counseling, psychology
  • At least five years of experience as an independently licensed clinician; ideally as a social worker or counselor
  • On-site EAP experience preferred
  • Ability to work an onsite schedule: hours may vary between 24-40 hours per week. 
  • Active membership and/or designation from related professional organization (preferred)
  • USA National certification as CEAP (preferred)
